I am a physicist, teacher, and writer living in Shreveport, Louisiana. I earned my Ph.D. from Arizona State University in 2020. I teach at Centenary College of Louisiana, where my work includes building undergraduate physics curriculum and conducting research that connects quantum models and applied physics, and for the past few years I have contributed columns to the webzine 3 Quarks Daily.
This site collects my essays, course syllabi, research, and talks. The Essays page includes popular science writing, book reviews, and occasional reflections on education, religion, politics, and culture. The Courses page gathers syllabi and materials from the physics curriculum at Centenary. Research lists technical publications and preprints, and Talks collects conference presentations and public lectures.
I live with my wife, Holly, and our three children.
